2015 #10 – ET Run Home

20150124 ET Run Home-2373After a wobbly week training wise with lots of self-doubt, I needed to just go out for a run: with no targets; with no plan –  with no aim.
Just a run.
Just a run on the open road.
Just a run putting one foot in front of the other, and to go as far – or as near – as I could and as I wanted to.
And surprisingly it took me 12km.
Afterwards, I felt physically tired but, more importantly, mentally refreshed. I feel I have quietened those doubting voices and am entering those last four weeks before the half marathon eager and raring to go.  It’s been a good reminder that running is as much a state of mind, as a physical activity.
