2015 #23 – Eclipsing my plan

Which was the only eclipse worthwhile today.

From disappointing darkening skies, to icy humidity and on to splendiferous sunny blue skies, weather today has gone through a wide-ranging spectrum. And that’s not on: it plays havoc with my wardrobe.

Today was eclipse day, and the world, well UK media world at least, went into one hell of a frenzy. But for once London lost out – this time to cloud. I had wanted to go out to my local park to take some pictures of the eclipse but as it was grey and dismal this morning I chose to stay home in front of my fire (it was just a tad chilly). My reward as the room darkened was for my cat to came downstairs from his sleep and sit on my lap. Then 10minutes later as soon as the room started to re-light he disappeared back upstairs again. As with most cats, you take what you are given and be thankful for it.

Well, I wanted I to do 12km, nearly managed 14: I guess there is just not enough lead in me pencil (yet).  But I’ll bank 13.75 none the less. A good run.  The weather was spot on – dry, the right side of 5 degrees and not too windy.
